Information for Aromatherapy Candles Research

If you are looking for aromatherapy candles research information, the Internet can help you. There are a countless number of sites out there devoted to candles as well as aromatherapy. Scented candles are commonly used in today's homes to add beauty and fragrance. Depending on the scent you choose, these candles can be relaxing, romantic or invigorating. Aromatherapy as a treatment has been around for quite some time. Traditional aromatherapy uses essential oils to invoke particular responses. Many modern aromatherapy candles use these same essential oils.

Today's fragranced candles come in highly scented varieties of all kinds. For example, many people like food scented candles. Examples might include apple pie or birthday cake. When you burn a scented candle that smells like a favorite pastry, you often feel comforted and serene. Many people say certain scents remind them of childhood. Another popular trend is candle scents that are clean and fresh. One of the most beloved fragrances for many people is that of soap or freshly washed laundry. Then there are outdoorsy scents, like that of freshly mowed grass. Today's scent blends are so realistic you actually feel as if you are smelling a baking pie, freshly washed batch of laundry or pile of grass clippings.

These scents certainly don't take the place of traditional aromatherapy scents, however. The tried and true oils are still commonly used. Lavender and chamomile are soothing, relaxing scents that are so popular they are used for baby care products. Citronella candles are commonly used for repelling insects outdoors. Mint oil like peppermint or spearmint is thought to have invigorating properties. Scents like jasmine and rose are used to give a feeling of romance. Maybe you're looking for more in depth information about aromatherapy and/or candles. If so, the library or bookstore is a good place to look.

The Complete Book of Aromatherapy by Valerie Ann Worwood offers more than 600 essential oil recipes for home, beauty and body. Another great title on the subject of aromatherapy is The Aromatherapy Bible: The Definitive Guide to Using Essential Oils by Gill Farrer-Halls. On the subject of candles, check out books like Basic Candle Making by Eric Ebeling and Alan Wycheck or The Candlemaker's Companion: A Complete Guide to Rolling, Pouring Dipping and Decorating Your Own Candles by Betty Oppenheimer. Books such as these are a great choice for anyone who wants to learn more about aromatherapy candles research.
